Experience Bob has been employed by the Department since April
of 1991. He started as a Firefighter/Engineer and has worked
his way up to the rank of Captain. He has been in the fire
service for a total of 28 years. He began his career as a volunteer
with the Boiling Springs Fire Department in Spartanburg County.
Education Bob graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1967. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Elon College in North Carolina in
1971.
Specializations
In addition to his duties as shift Captain, Bob serves as the department’s Infectious Disease Control Officer. Bob is also responsible for the maintenance of our Self Contained Breathing Apparatus.
Interests
Bob enjoys fishing and gardening in his spare time.
Experience Josh has been employed by the Department since May of 2004. He has been in the fire service since 1999.
He began his career as a volunteer with the Broadway Fire Department in Anderson County.
Education Josh graduated from Belton-Honea Path High School in 1999. He is currently attending Greenville Technical College majoring in Business Management/Fire Service Administration.
Experience Tyler has been with the department since September of 1998.
He was hired as a Firefighter and was later promoted to Engineer.
Tyler began his fire service career as a volunteer with the Poplar Springs Fire Department in 1992. He has a total of 14 years experience in the fire service.
Education Tyler graduated from James F. Byrnes High School.
Specializations
Tyler is a Certified Personal Trainer and he helps with the
department's fitness program.
Interests
Tyler enjoys Camping, Hiking, Kayaking, Running and Weightlifting in his time off.
Experience Nick was hired by the department in January
of 2004 as a basic firefighter.
Nick has been in the fire service for a total of five years.
He began his career as a volunteer with Hilltop Fire Department
where he now works part time.
Nick is a second generation firefighter.
Education Nick graduated from Boiling Springs High
School in 2002.
Nick is currently taking classes through the South
Carolina Fire Academy in
order to obtain his Firefighter 1 status at PBFD.
Interests Nick enjoys weight lifting and other sports.
He also likes to spend time with family.
